O yeah.24.of november we had a epic conditions for organizing a surfing contest for our litle surf comunity.The SE-warm wind blows for three days and produce a solid 6-10ft bombs.The reef start charging some good lefts and sucky rights.The air temperature was 17*C the sea temperature was near 15*C for these let call winter time deam warm.Contest started in Friday 23. but the wind blows up ,so they called off.Next heat started saturday morning and that was the winning move.The wind stop blowing and waves fired up.Everybody was stoked,and every heat that suposed to be 45min long become a 2,5hours long session. So we had two 2-2,5 hours long heats.Every heat was taped on cam and analized.The best rider will become a national Champion.Last year 2006 champ didn*t came becouse he moved to Australia,Jernej Rakuscek is a good surfer and a good friend.Known for pictures taken last year in Mexico at famos spot Zicatela.
So the contest was on,we have seen some good rides,some wipeouts,some cracked boards.After the contest the boys was leafing,hangin around talking about surf having a beer or two...There was no stressful situation,nobody was under pressure for the results.It was so chillin atmosfere out,like in a surf dream.
Another few hours and we will know who is a new Champion.
